Hamfests & Conventions

Don’t just attend the 2022 Northeast HamXposition—BE A PART OF IT! The HamXposition Committee seeks fresh and exciting presentations for this year’s joint ARRL New England/Hudson Division Convention on August 26, 27 & 28, 2022. We’re looking for talks of both a technical and non-technical nature. As a HamXposition presenter, you will have the opportunity to share your subject and knowledge with amateur radio operators from around New England, New York, the surrounding states, and Canada.

In addition to talks and forums throughout the day on Saturday, we will feature Saturday evening entertainment, workshops on Friday, and a half-day Sunday program.

If you represent a regional club or organization (e.g., YCCC, NEQRP, WRONE, MARS, etc.) we can help facilitate open forums or closed meetings by providing you a meeting space.

Non-profit groups who wish to set up information tables should get your requests in early. While the tables are offered without charge, we ask for some volunteer time in return to assist us with ticket sales and other logistics during the convention.

Come to the RASON [Radio Amateur Society of Norwich] Auction to buy or sell amateur radio gear!  RASON will be holding its annual auction on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall in Gales Ferry, Connecticut.  We welcome all individuals who wish to buy or sell amateur radio and electronic equipment.  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and is a great opportunity to acquire current equipment and collector’s items.

The Eastern Connecticut Amateur Radio Association will sponsor a flea market on April 22, 2022 in Thompson, Connecticut. Tables are $15 each. Contact Jon, KA1MPG at jonas217@verizon.net.

The Maine State Convention will be held Friday, April 1st and Saturday April 2nd, 2022 at the Ramada Inn & Convention Center, 490 Pleasant St, Lewiston, ME, just off I-95, Exit 80. Talks are free, admission into the vendor area is $10 at the door.

New England Division Director Fred Kemmerer, AB1OC and Vice Director Phil Temples, K9HI presented at the ARRL Forum at HAM-CON and the Vermont State Convention on February 26, 2022. Also attending the hybrid forum were Assistant Directors: Rob Leiden, K1UI; Cory Golob, KU1U; and Anita Kemmerer, AB1QB. 

The New England Division team provided an update on ARRL activities, introduced New England Assistant Directors and their planning activities, and shared plans for improving communications with the Division. Director Kemmerer attended the event in-person on Saturday and enjoyed the opportunity to meet with and speak with HAM-CON attendees.
